WHY PEOPLE DO CORRUPTION?

Corruption is an illegal act done by some people to enrich themselves, other people, or organization. It is usually done by people who have authority in a country or organization. They use their position as the way to do corruption. They don’t care about the other sides they disserved by doing this action. Although the consequences of doing corruption will get severe punishments, a lot of people still do this. They don’t worry about it. According to my opinions, there are several causes why corruption happened.

First, the opportunity to do corrupt is easy to find. It means the situation and condition are corruptible. When someone gets a higher position in their job, they have more chances to do corruption. Especially, when they concerned with money, they may become greedy and blind. Besides, the lack of surveillance also encourages people to do that. If they succeed to do this in at the first, they will be addicted to doing it again. They just want to have more money. Moreover, when people get a higher position with spent much money, they will look for money for changing the money they have spent.

Second, the corruptors are lack of religious faith and morality. We know that people who do corruption are not a foolish and poor person. They are smart, rich and they have authority. However, they lack religious faith. Someone who corrupts doesn’t care about judgment from God and just do what they want. Moreover, they have lack morality, they know that they stole much money from many people, and use it for their needs. They don’t care about the effects on society, including financial loss and hampered country’s development.
